Question:
Killing an animal is a ruthless act. Why then do Muslims consume non-vegetarian food?

Answer:
‘Vegetarianism’ is now a movement the world over. Many even associate it with animal rights. Indeed, a large number of people consider the consumption of meat and other non-vegetarian products to be a violation of animal rights. Islam enjoins mercy and compassion for all living creatures. At the same time Islam maintains that Allah has created the earth and its wondrous flora and fauna for the benefit of mankind. It is upto mankind to use every resource in this world judiciously, as a niyamat (Divine blessing) and amanat (trust) from Allah. Let us look at various other aspects of this argument.

1. A Muslim can be a pure vegetarian
A Muslim can be a very good Muslim despite being a pure vegetarian. It is not compulsory for a Muslim to have non-vegetarian food.

2. Qur’an permits Muslims to have non-vegetarian food
The Qur’an, however permits a Muslim to have non-vegetarian food. The following Qur’anic verses are proof of this fact:
“O ye who believe! Fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals with the exceptions named.” [Al-Qur’an 5:1]
“And cattle He has created for you (men): from them Ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, And of their (meat) ye eat.” [Al-Qur’an 16:5]
“And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: From within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat.” [Al-Qur’an 23:21]

3. Meat is nutritious and rich in complete protein
Non-vegetarian food is a good source of excellent protein. It contains biologically complete protein i.e. all the 8 essential amino acid that are not synthesized by the body and should be supplied in the diet. Meat also contains iron, vitamin B1 and niacin.

4. Humans have Omnivorous set of teeth
If you observe the teeth of herbivorous animals like the cow, goat and sheep, you will find something strikingly similar in all of them. All these animals have a set of flat teeth i.e. suited for herbivorous diet. If you observe the set of teeth of the carnivorous animals like the lion, tiger, or leopard, they all have a set of pointed teeth i.e. suited for a carnivorous diet. If you analyze the set of teeth of humans, you find that they have flat teeth as well as pointed teeth. Thus they have teeth suited for both herbivorous as well as carnivorous food i.e. they are omnivorous. One may ask, if Almighty God wanted humans to have only vegetables, why did He provide us also with pointed teeth? It is logical that He expected us to need and to have both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food.

5. Human beings can digest both vege-tarian and non-vegetarian food
The digestive system of herbivorous animals can digest only vegetables. The digestive system of carnivorous animals can digest only meat. But the digestive system of humans can digest both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. If Almighty God wanted us to have only vegetables then why did He give us a digestive system that can digest both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food?

6. Hindu scriptures give permission to have non-vegetarian food
a. There are many Hindus who are strictly vegetarian. They think it is against their religion to consume non-vegetarian food. But the true fact is that the Hindu scriptures permit a person to have meat. The scriptures mention Hindu sages and saints consuming non-vegetarian food.
b. It is mentioned in Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30 “The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad, even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten and some to be eater.”
c. Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says “Eating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of the gods.”
d. Further in Manu Smruti chapter 5 verse 39 and 40 says “God himself created sacrificial animals for sacrifice, ... , therefore killing in a sacrifice is not killing.”
e. Mahabharata Anushashan Parva chapter 88 narrates the discussion between Dharmaraj Yudhishthira and Pitamah Bhishma about what food one should offer to Pitris (ancestors) during the Shraddha (ceremony of dead) to keep them satisfied. Paragraph reads as follows: “Yudhishthira said, “O thou of great puissance, tell me what that object is which, if dedicated to the Pitiris (dead ancestors), become inexhaustible! What Havi, again, (if offered) lasts for all time? What, indeed, is that which (if presented) becomes eternal?” “Bhishma said, “Listen to me, O Yudhishthira, what those Havis are which persons conversant with the rituals of the Shraddha (the ceremony of dead) egard as suitable in view of Shraddha and what the fruits are that attach to each. With sesame seeds and rice and barely and Masha and water and roots and fruits, if given at Shraddhas, the pitris, O king, remain gratified for the period of a month. With fishes offered at Shraddhas, the pitris remain gratified for a period of two months. With the mutton they remain gratified for three months and with the hare for four months, with the flesh of the goat for five months, with the bacon (meat of pig) for six months, and with the flesh of birds for seven. With venison obtained from those deer that are called Prishata, they remaingratified for eight months, and with that obtained from the Ruru for nine months, and with the meat of Gavaya for ten months, With the meat of the bufffalo their gratification lasts for eleven months. With beef presented at the Shraddha, their gratification, it is said , lasts for a full year. Payasa mixed with ghee is as much acceptable to the pitris as beef. With the meat of Vadhrinasa (a large bull) the gratification of pitris lasts for twelve years. the flesh of rhinoceros, offered to the pitris on anniversaries of the lunar days on which they died, becomes inexhaustible. The potherb called Kalaska, the petals of kanchana flower, and meat of (red) goat also, thus offered, prove inexhaustible. So but natural if you want to keep your ancestors satisfied forever, you should serve them the meat of red goat.

7. Hinduism was influenced by other religions
Though Hindu Scriptures permit its followers to have non-vegetarian food, many Hindus adopted the vegetarian system because they were influenced by other religions like Jainism.

8. Even plants have life
Certain religions have adopted pure vegetarianism as a dietary law because they are totally against the killing of living creatures. If a person can survive without killing any living creature, I would be the first person to adopt such a way of life. In the past people thought plants were lifeless. Today it is a universal fact that even plants have life. Thus their logic of not killing living creatures is not fulfilled even by being a pure vegetarian.

9. Even plants can feel pain
They further argue that plants cannot feel pain, therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime as compared to killing an animal. Today science tells us that even plants can feel pain. But the cry of the plant cannot be heard by the human being. This is due to the inability of the human ear to hear sounds that are not in the audible range i.e. 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz. Anything below and above this range cannot be heard by a human being. A dog can hear up to 40,000 Hertz. Thus there are silent dog whistles that have a frequency of more than 20,000 Hertz and less than 40,000 Hertz. These whistles are only heard by dogs and not by human beings. The dog recognizes the masters whistle and comes to the master. There was research done by a farmer in U.S.A. who invented an instrument which converted the cry of the plant so that it could be heard by human beings. He was able to realize immediately when the plant itself cried for water. Latest researches show that the plants can even feel happy and sad. It can also cry.

10. Killing a living creature with two senses less is not a lesser crime
Once a vegetarian argued his case by saying that plants only have two or three senses while the animals have five senses. Therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime than killing an animal. Suppose your brother is born deaf and dumb and has two senses less as compared to other human beings. He becomes mature and someone murders him. Would you ask the judge to give the murderer a lesser punishment because your brother has two senses less? In fact you would say that he has killed a masoom, an innocent person, and the judge should give the murderer a greater punishment.
In fact the Qur’an says:
“O ye people! Eat of what is on earth, lawful and good” [Al-Qur’an 2:168]

11. Over population of cattle
If every human being was a vegetarian, it would lead to overpopulation of cattle in the world, since their reproduction and multiplication is very swift. Allah (swt) in His Divine Wisdom knows how to maintain the balance of His creation appropriately. No wonder He has permitted us to have the meat of the cattle.

12. Cost of meat is reasonable since all aren’t non-vegetarians
I do not mind if some people are pure vegetarians. However they should not condemn non-vegetarians as ruthless. In fact if all Indians become non-vegetarians then the present non-vegetarians would be losers since the prices of meat would rise.

I want to talk to you about my life before and after Hijab. I am a Muslim girl 20 years old from Arabian Gulf " The original place of Islam." I used to believe that hijab is not an important issue. And it's lucking my freedom. So I decided that I would never were Hijab as long as I live. Although my mother wears Hijab but she never convinces my sisters or me to wear it. She thought that you have to believe in it to do it or else you will take it off as soon as we are far away from her. And I think that it might be right in some way.

Windows is not a virus!

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

1.They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.

2.Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.

3.Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.

4.Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. - Sigh.. Windows does that, too.

5.Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. - Yup, Windows does that, too.

Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus.

It's a bug.

Question:
Why are most of the Muslims fundamentalists and terrorists?

Answer:
This question is often hurled at Muslims, either directly or indirectly, during any discussion on religion or world affairs. Muslim stereotypes are perpetuated in every form of the media accompanied by gross misinformation about Islam and Muslims. In fact, such misinformation and false propaganda often leads to discrimination and acts of violence against Muslims. A case in point is the anti-Muslim campaign in the American media following the Oklahoma bomb blast, where the press was quick to declare a ‘Middle Eastern conspiracy’ behind the attack. The culprit was later identified as a soldier from the American Armed Forces.

Let us analyze this allegation of ‘fundamentalism’ and ‘terrorism’:

1- Definition of the word ‘fundamentalist’:
A fundamentalist is a person who follows and adheres to the fundamentals of the doctrine or theory he is following. For a person to be a good doctor, he should know, follow, and practice the fundamentals of medicine. In other words, he should be a fundamentalist in the field of medicine. For a person to be a good mathematician, he should know, follow and practice the fundamentals of mathematics. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of mathematics. For a person to be a good scientist, he should know, follow and practice the fundamentals of science. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of science.

2- Not all ‘fundamentalists’ are the same:
One cannot paint all fundamentalists with the same brush. One cannot categorize all fundamentalists as either good or bad. Such a categorization of any fundamentalist will depend upon the field or activity in which he is a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist robber or thief causes harm to society and is therefore undesirable. A fundamentalist doctor, on the other hand, benefits society and earns much respect.

3- I am proud to be a Muslim fundamentalist:
I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah, knows, follows and strives to practice the fundamentals of Islam. A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. There is not a single fundamental of Islam that causes harm or is against the interests of the human race as a whole. Many people harbour misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper. This is due to insufficient and incorrect knowledge of Islam. If one critically analyzes the teachings of Islam with an open mind, one cannot escape the fact that Islam is full of benefits both at the individual and collective levels.

4- Dictionary meaning of the word ‘fundamentalist’:
According to Webster’s dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ was a movement in American Protestantism that arose in the earlier part of the 20th century. It was a reaction to modernism, and stressed the infallibility of the Bible, not only in matters of faith and morals but also as a literal historical record. It stressed on belief in the Bible as the literal word of God. Thus fundamentalism was a word initially used for a group of Christians who believed that the Bible was the verbatim word of God without any errors and mistakes.
According to the Oxford dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ means ‘strict maintenance of ancient or fundamental doctrines of any religion, especially Islam’. Today the moment a person uses the word fundamentalist he thinks of a Muslim who is a terrorist.

5- Every Muslim should be a terrorist:
Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.

6- Different labels given to the same individual for the same action, i.e. ‘terrorist’ and ‘patriot’:
Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. The same individuals have been lauded by Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One is calling him a terrorist while the other is calling him a patriot. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these people terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.
It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly.

7- Islam means peace:
Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.
Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace: Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.

Question:
How can Islam be called the religion of peace when it was spread by the sword?

Answer:
It is a common complaint among some non-Muslims that Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. The following points will make it clear, that far from being spread by the sword, it was the inherent force of truth, reason and logic that was responsible for the rapid spread of Islam.

1- Islam means peace.
Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).

2- Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace.
Each and every human being in this world is not in favor of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.

3- Opinion of historian De Lacy O’Leary.
The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book “Islam at the cross road” (Page 8):
“History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated.”

4- Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years.
Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhan, that is the call for prayers.

5- 14 million Arabs are Coptic Christians.
Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian.

6- More than 80% non-Muslims in India.
The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that Islam was not spread by the sword.

7- Indonesia and Malaysia.
Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, “Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?”.

8- East Coast of Africa.
Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. One may again ask, if Islam was spread by the sword, “Which Muslim army went to the East Coast of Africa?”.

9- Thomas Carlyle.
The famous historian, Thomas Carlyle, in his book “Heroes and Hero worship”, refers to this misconception about the spread of Islam: “The sword indeed, but where will you get your sword? Every new opinion, at its starting is precisely in a minority of one. In one man’s head alone. There it dwells as yet. One man alone of the whole world believes it, there is one man against all men. That he takes a sword and try to propagate with that, will do little for him. You must get your sword! On the whole, a thing will propagate itself as it can.”

10- No compulsion in religion..
With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse:
“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error” [Al-Qur’an 2:256]

11- Sword of the Intellect.
It is the sword of intellect. The sword that conquers the hearts and minds of people. The Qur’an says in Surah Nahl, chapter 16 verse 125:
“Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.” [Al-Qur’an 16:125]

12- Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984.
An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?

13- Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe.
Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe in Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?

14- Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson.
Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson rightly says, “People who worry that nuclear weaponry will one day fall in the hands of the Arabs, fail to realize that the Islamic bomb has been dropped already, it fell the day MUHAMMED (pbuh) was born”.

Question:
If a man is allowed to have more than one wife, then why does Islam prohibit a woman from having more than one husband?

Answer:
A lot of people, including some Muslims, question the logic of allowing Muslim men to have more than one spouse while denying the same ‘right’ to women. Let me first state emphatically, that the foundation of an Islamic society is justice and equity. Allah has created men and women as equal, but with different capabilities and different responsibilities. Men and women are different, physiologically and psychologically. Their roles and responsibilities are different. Men and women are equal in Islam, but not identical. Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verses 22 to 24 gives the list of women with whom Muslim men can not marry. It is further mentioned in Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verse 24 “Also (prohibited are) women already married”

The following points enumerate the reasons why polyandry is prohibited in Islam:

1- If a man has more than one wife, the parents of the children born of such marriages can easily be identified. The father as well as the mother can easily be identified. In case of a woman marrying more than one husband, only the mother of the children born of such marriages will be identified and not the father. Islam gives tremendous importance to the identification of both parents, mother and father. Psychologists tell us that children who do not know their parents, especially their father undergo severe mental trauma and disturbances. Often they have an unhappy childhood. It is for this reason that the children of prostitutes do not have a healthy childhood. If a child born of such wedlock is admitted in school, and when the mother is asked the name of the father, she would have to give two or more names! I am aware that recent advances in science have made it possible for both the mother and father to be identified with the help of genetic testing. Thus this point which was applicable for the past may not be applicable for the present.

2- Man is more polygamous by nature as compared to a woman.

3- Biologically, it is easier for a man to perform his duties as a husband despite having several wives. A woman, in a similar position, having several husbands, will not find it possible to perform her duties as a wife. A woman undergoes several psychological and behavioral changes due to different phases of the menstrual cycle.

4- A woman who has more than one husband will have several sexual partners at the same time and has a high chance of acquiring venereal or sexually transmitted diseases which can also be transmitted back to her husband even if all of them have no extra-marital sex. This is not the case in a man having more than one wife, and none of them having extra-marital sex.

The above reasons are those that one can easily identify. There are probably many more reasons why Allah, in His Infinite Wisdom, has prohibited polyandry.

Question:
Why is a man allowed to have more than one wife in Islam? i.e. why is polygamy allowed in Islam?

Answer:
1. Definition of Polygamy
Polygamy means a system of marriage whereby one person has more than one spouse. Polygamy can be of two types. One is polygyny where a man marries more than one woman, and the other is polyandry, where a woman marries more than one man. In Islam, limited polygyny is permitted; whereas polyandry is completely prohibited.
Now coming to the original question, why is a man allowed to have more than one wife?

2. The Qur’an is the only religious scripture in the world that says, “marry only one”.
The Qur’an is the only religious book, on the face of this earth, that contains the phrase ‘marry only one’. There is no other religious book that instructs men to have only one wife. In none of the other religious scriptures, whether it be the Vedas, the Ramayan, the Mahabharat, the Geeta, the Talmud or the Bible does one find a restriction on the number of wives. According to these scriptures one can marry as many as one wishes. It was only later, that the Hindu priests and the Christian Church restricted the number of wives to one.
Many Hindu religious personalities, according to their scriptures, had multiple wives. King Dashrat, the father of Rama, had more than one wife. Krishna had several wives.
In earlier times, Christian men were permitted as many wives as they wished, since the Bible puts no restriction on the number of wives. It was only a few centuries ago that the Church restricted the number of wives to one. Polygyny is permitted in Judaism. According to Talmudic law, Abraham had three wives, and Solomon had hundreds of wives. The practice of polygyny continued till Rabbi Gershom ben Yehudah (960 C.E to 1030 C.E) issued an edict against it. The Jewish Sephardic communities living in Muslim countries continued the practice till as late as 1950, until an Act of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel extended the ban on marrying more than one wife.
(*Interesting Note:- As per the 1975 census of India Hindus are more polygynous than Muslims. The report of the ‘Committee of The Status of Woman in Islam’, published in 1975 mentions on page numbers 66 and 67 that the percentage of polygamous marriages between the years 1951 and 1961 was 5.06% among the Hindus and only 4.31% among the Muslims. According to Indian law only Muslim men are permitted to have more than one wife. It is illegal for any non-Muslim in India to have more than one wife. Despite it being illegal, Hindus have more multiple wives as compared to Muslims. Earlier, there
was no restriction even on Hindu men with respect to the number of wives allowed. It was only in 1954, when the Hindu Marriage Act was passed that it became illegal for a Hindu to have more than one wife. At present it is the Indian Law that restricts a Hindu man from having more than one wife and not the Hindu scriptures.)
Let us now analyses why Islam allows a man to have more than one wife.

3. Qur’an permits limited polygyny
As I mentioned earlier, Qur’an is the only religious book on the face of the earth that says ‘marry only one’. The context of this phrase is the following verse from Surah Nisa of the Glorious Qur’an:
“Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one.” [Al-Qur’an 4:3]
Before the Qur’an was revealed, there was no upper limit for polygyny and many men had scores of wives, some even hundreds. Islam put an upper limit of four wives. Islam gives a man permission to marry two, three or four women, only on the condition that he deals justly with them.
In the same chapter i.e. Surah Nisa verse 129 says:
“Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women....” [Al-Qur’an 4:129]
Therefore polygyny is not a rule but an exception. Many people are under the misconception that it is compulsory for a Muslim man to have more than one wife.
Broadly, Islam has five categories of Do’s and Don’ts:
(i) ‘Fard’ i.e. compulsory or obligatory
(ii) ‘Mustahab’ i.e. recommended or encouraged
(iii) ‘Mubah’ i.e. permissible or allowed
(iv) ‘Makruh’ i.e. not recommended or discouraged
(v) ‘Haraam’ i.e. prohibited or forbidden
Polygyny falls in the middle category of things that are permissible. It cannot be said that a Muslim who has two, three or four wives is a better Muslim as compared to a Muslim who has only one wife.

4. Average life span of females is more than that of males
By nature males and females are born in approximately the same ratio. A female child has more immunity than a male child. A female child can fight the germs and diseases better than the male child. For this reason, during the pediatric age itself there are more deaths among males as compared to the females.
During wars, there are more men killed as compared to women. More men die due to accidents and diseases than women. The average life span of females is more than that of males, and at any given time one finds more widows in the world than widowers.

5. India has more male population than female due to female foeticide and infanticide
India is one of the few countries, along with the other neighboring countries, in which the female population is less than the male population. The reason lies in the high rate of female infanticide in India, and the fact that more than one million female fetuses are aborted every year in this country, after they are identified as females. If this evil practice is stopped, then India too will have more females as compared to males.

6. World female population is more than male population
In the USA, women outnumber men by 7.8 million. New York alone has one million more females as compared to the number of males, and of the male population of New York one-third are gays i.e sodomites. The U.S.A as a whole has more than twenty-five million gays. This means that these people do not wish to marry women. Great Britain has four million more females as compared to males. Germany has five million more females as compared to males. Russia has nine million more females than males. God alone knows how many million more females there are in the whole world as compared to males.

7. Restricting each and every man to have only one wife is not practical
Even if every man got married to one woman, there would still be more than thirty million females in U.S.A who would not be able to get husbands (considering that America has twenty five million gays). There would be more than four million females in Great Britain, 5 million females in Germany and nine million females in Russia alone who would not be able to find a husband.
Suppose my sister happens to be one of the unmarried women living in USA, or suppose your sister happens to be one of the unmarried women in USA. The only two options remaining for her are that she either marries a man who already has a wife or becomes 'public property'. There is no other option. All those who are modest will opt for the first. Most women would not like to share their husband with other women. But in Islam when the situation deems it really necessary Muslim women in due faith could bear a small personal loss to prevent a greater loss of letting other Muslim
sisters becoming 'public properties'.

8. Marring a married man preferable to becoming 'public property'
In Western society, it is common for a man to have mistresses and/or multiple extra-marital affairs, in which case, the woman leads a disgraceful, unprotected life. The same society, however, cannot accept a man having more than one wife, in which women retain their honorable, dignified position in society and lead a protected life.
Thus the only two options before a woman who cannot find a husband is to marry a married man or to become 'public property'. Islam prefers giving women the honorable position by permitting the first option and disallowing the second.
There are several other reasons, why Islam has permitted limited polygyny, but it is mainly to protect the modesty of women.

15- When all the Muslim follow one and the same Quran then why are there so many sects and different schools of thoughts among Muslims?
16- All religions basically teach followers to do good deeds. Why should a person only follow Islam? Can he not follow any of the religions?
17- If Islam is the best religion, why are many of the Muslims dishonest, unreliable, and involved in activities such as cheating, bribing, dealing in drugs, etc.?
18- Why do Muslims abuse non-Muslims by calling them Kafirs?

In simple words it was amazing experience while watching this movie. I am not going to more details here, as a lot had been written about it. But i will let it gave more points based on different categorizes:

Acting: 9/10

3-D: 9/10
Actions: 9/10
Camera Work: 9/10
Character designs: 9/10
Run time: 9/10

Overall: 9.2/10

James Cameron deliver a genius work this time like he did in Titanic, Aliens, Termination I, Terminator II etc. Direction is superb in all aspects. 3-D graphics were amazing, and was a good experience.

Kashmir Solidarity Day -- Function --

Yesterday attended a function held in Kelab darul ehsan Ampang Malaysia. It was jointly organized by Global Peace Mission Malaysia and Pakistan High Commission.
Two professors were invited from Islamic International University Malaysia to deliver a speech. They had good command over the topic. Specially Prof Arif was very intellectual and he discuss the topic in very depth.

Anyhow that was a nice gathering. My roommate Mr Aurangzaib Alamgeer was moderator of the program. He was in good touch, moderated the program very well. He is a PhD student in AEI University Malaya.

Trip to Kelantan

Hi all,

We reached back from Kelantan last night, it was a nice trip... actually we went there for work..to install soil moisture sensors and gateway. It took us to complete in 2 days. We finished the job at around 1, then went to water fall for some swimming. That was great time there in the water fall.
Our journey started on Thursday at 6am early in the morning. Reached there around 1PM and straight to the site. Our stay was in Gua Musan Inn hotel. We left early next morning around 7.30am.
The journey was not that nice because of the car suspension was not good. 2 or 3 times every body feel to vomit.
But anyhow was also not bad, because was enjoying movies while on the way.
Maybe we will go again next week, because one of the sensor was damaged there(IPI).

It was purely sung by Irfan Khan(pashtu famous singer), and later sung by Hadiqa Kiyani(urdu, punjabi singer) with Irfan Khan. They sung it very well together. Hats off to both of them.

Busy life...Busy days

Salam and hi all,
Hope everybody is doing great.
Ok, now a days i am too busy, alot of things to take care of. I already managed a domain and hosting for my own site. Even i don't have much time to configure that and post site link here.
But i hope, i can work out on this soon.

Office work is now a days like a burden on the shoulders, writing scripts, upgrading servers, configuring GSM modem for sms and many more in this list...

By the way, tomorrow going to UPM to upgrade our server there also, currently two sites are hosted on it. It will be down i think for 24hours, because i need to install many things after upgrade.

For our current UPM project, the firmware for the gateway is still in pending and tomorrow they expect us to show a demo to them. But the funny thing is there is no gateway to send email.
I am thinking to start coding in embedded Linux, it would be not that much easy to introduce my self with some electronic boards, but i hope i can enjoy this. Not for this project, may be in future. Our firmware guys in past used TinyOS for gateway, i am still not sure which will be the best bet here, TinyOS OR C OR C++. Time will decide.

Also working on a freelance project, which also need some time. I need to buy some time, but form where....Life is cool...

Anyway, that's it for now...see you soon in my new website.

Don't Talk to Him

The most crucial rule in breaking up is to not talk to the person you're breaking up with. Even if you think you can handle it and still get over the person, you can't. Don't kid yourself; feelings will get hurt. Take some time off, get over him, and maybe someday in the future you'll be friends. Until then, lick your wounds and recover any way you'd like; whether that be partying hard, staying in bed for days with pints of ice cream, or spending absurd amounts of money on clothes you don't need. No one will say a thing; we all heal in our own, weird ways.

Snap Out of It

Remember how things, like stupid songs and movies and that little spot in the park that you two went to on your first date used to be "yours"? Well, they're not anymore. Don't make a connection to platonic objects when there isn't one. Remind yourself that you like that spot in the park because of the good view, not because of anyone connected to it. There's no point losing more than you have to from a breakup, so don't get all sappy on yourself.

Reconnect with Your Friends

No matter how much you say you're not going to be that girl who gives up her friends for her boyfriend; everyone gives up a little of their time to spend with their guy. Well, now is the time to make it up to them (and, you could use the girl talk). So, go out and have fun; grab your best wing woman, and remember how much fun being single really is.

Take Some Time For Yourself

Amidst all of this trying not to talk to him, hanging out with friends, partying more and/or eating lots and lots of ice cream-you need to remember to sit back and actually work through your feelings. Understand why things went south, and why you're better off this way. And in no time you'll be back to your old self, and what's-his-name will be a thing of the past.

It's All About Rewards

And finally, do all of the little things that make you happy every day. Yep, being single means thinking about you, you, you. So, go and take that extra time after work and buy yourself that little ring you've been obsessing over. Or take a long walk and meet a friend for cupcakes because well, you can. Have fun spoiling yourself, because you deserve it after....wait, what? I'm forgetting already.

So how was it?

It was a very busy month for me, didn't manage the time well to update the blog regularly and may be today also.
But there is something i want to write here as a memory.
Even in Eid holidays i was working, its not about to tell that i am very hard working person but some time you want to keep your self busy and away from people. Need some loneliness. Or may be we can name it as no option.
But why i am writing today, have no time to even think and write here. But some time we put all the things back and do whatever we want. So i am doing that now. Even i don't know, what i am writing, just know that my fingers are working hard on the keyboard to type all these words.
So lets back to the story, it was a normal day start for me. Wakeup at 9am(slept at 4am) and became ready to move to office. It was around 10.15am, when i was waiting for the cab. After 10 minutes get a cab and i was on the way to office.
While passing through UM library, i saw some thing, which i should not. Or may be can, but not that much soon. I was not expecting it. My heart beating reaches to peak, and i had no idea, what happened. I was in a shock for a moment.
It just brought the old memories of the golden days, even this exposure was just for 2 seconds. But it really put me in the deep sea where you don't know...where to go now. It was like a flash light. In the next second there was nothing. Just me, cab, cab driver. It's 4PM now, while writing all this. But still i am thinking about some thing else. I am just lost, don't know what to do. Most of the time, looking outside from the office window to people, sky. Its like, my eyes are searching for something, which i am sure is not there. Which is like an imagination. And the worst thing is, that i am alone in office now, which just push me to a moment, which i don't want to think and another bad thing is that i am writing all this offline, office Internet is down at the moment. So i don't know when i will publish this post, but hope very soon may be late night today.
I have to be strong..more strong to overcome this dilemma, this hard time. Time will heal the wounds. INSHALLAH...

I know, readers will find this post boring, but this is just to keep it here, that what happened on 30th September 2009 at 10.30am in front of UM library.

Hi all,
This is my desktop screen shot of openSUSE. Currently i am using Milestone 7 of 11.2.
OS: openSUSE 11.2 M7
Desktop: KDE4.3.1
Kernel: 2.6.31-rc9-7-desktop
Platform: x86_64

Its quite stable release(at least for me). Looking forward to final release in November(12th).
Three more beta releases on the way before final release. They are:
- openSUSE 11.2 Milstone 8
- openSUSE 11.2 RC1
- openSUSE 11.2 RC2
and finally
- openSUSE 11.2 (12th November)

Two in One

Two in one means, will write a bit for the two days: Yesterday and today in one post.

5th September:
I don't know, from where to start and where to end. It was a tiring and good day as well.
My roommate was leaving for his home town for one month holidays. We company him till airport.
Personally i don't want to go to airport, because after visiting i don't feel well. I feel that i am lost. Anyway his flight was at 1.10PM, everything went well till reaching the lounge, before boarding the plane. Me and my friend left airport at around 12.30PM, i was completely lost and was not feeling well. All the day was dispersed. Reached room at 3PM, so tired, went to sleep and wake up at 6pm to prepare some thing for break fast.
I don't know, why i am so much sensitive. A simple thing effect my mind like it was a hurricane.
Till this morning i was suffering from the airport shocks.
Inshallah will get better soon, need some time to gather my energy, but at the other hand a lot of work to do. lets hope, everything goes well.

6th September:
This day should be removed from the calender, i mean from my calender. Yeh, it should be.
This is the worst day in my life, there are more also, but this one really changed my life, so i can't name it completely 'worst' but will remember it as a worst day.
This day bring changes in my life, and show me the right path to follow.
I will remember it as to not trust some one easily. Don't make some one that special, that you can't leave with out them then. It was like a Tsunami for me.
A day which washed out all my dreams.
A day which make me alone till now.
A day which give panic every minute.
A day which hurt me like so much.

Anyway today i am celebrating this day with sorrow and joy, with no emotions, completely speechless, bad mood.

Ae Allah, show me the right path, i am lost. Help me Allah.
Inshallah, i will move on with positive thoughts, and one day all these will over.

As the title says, i know that. I think i know all that.
Yeh, i know that, i should be a busy person now. So the question is HOW?
Let me elaborate a bit.
Working on my thesis, Doing job, Playing sports(now-a-days), Doing a part time project.
what else after this. I should be busy with all this, and yeh i am.
But i think, some time i feel i am missing some thing in my life. I am searching for the answers right now. Its quite hard to find out the exact answers. May be it is not, but for me its really hard.
I don't know, where my life is going...which direction i should follow which not...

So i know that, and again to clarify it, i know that i am busy enough to not think about all this. But some time i feel it, and that's it. As all of you feel it. Quite hard to express it and quite hard to compress it.
Coming weeks will be more busy for me, a trip to Kedah(May be)... convocation... etc etc..
So lets hope, every thing goes smooth and slim.....

PC Fair at KLCC convention center

Hi all,
I am here with the 1st post for August.
PC Fair ended yesterday in KLCC convention center.
I went there yesterday with one of my friend with his dad. It was a tiring day.
Actually i was looking and searching for a new notebook. I did some search for it b4 going there.
On my hit list: Dell, Hp, Acer.
But in the last, Hp won. I bought Hp notebook with the following spec:
- Intel Centrino Core 2 Due 2.0GHZ 3MB cache P7350
- 4GB RAM
- 320GB HDD
- Bluetooh,Wifi,LAN
- With 3 years warranty, carrying bag, cooler pad and etc etc.

Still i have to do a lot of modifications in it, i mean software wise. Need to install LINUX.

Lets come back to the Fair now, Fair was really attractive. Almost every computer based company booth were there. In the ground floor, there were accessories booth for customers. A wide range of choice for customers. And its hard to make decision at the mean time. But some time you have to think and close your eyes and just do it. but not in all cases. As i mentioned above, i did search before going there. So was not that much difficult for me to find out, what i need. But apart from that, there were a lot of choices, i also stuck there. But at least some of my computer knowledge came to rescue me.

Overall it was a nice outing with some money game.

UPM project is still ON...

Still not sure..whats going on with this project. Some time feel that no chance to get out from here...
Yesterday we attend meeting in UPM with engineering faculty. In the length of 2 hrs meeting, i feel so sleepy. Even two times my eyes closed for a while. It was really a boring day and meeting.
After that meeting, i was tired, feels like i did not sleep for years...
In the meeting, one guy from UPM said: "Its a piece of cake, do some customization here and there", he said this about web developing. Maybe he is right... if he is right, then why don't he do it by himself. Right?
This is terrible when some people think like this way... Even i remember, our last meeting was in 1st week of April, yesterday was our 2nd meeting with them. And the project time line was end of July... guess what now?... the project still not started...so funny....

Anyway this is their problem...what we suppose to do in this project is:
1- Soil moisture
2- IPI
3- Rain Gauge
4- Vibrating wire
5- Web system

My job is on web system, it will include:
- Charting system
- tabular view of data
- SMS data conversion
- SMS alert
- Linux dedicated hosting
etc etc

And now the time line is end of September... lets wait and see...hardware guys can finish it up or not...but my guess is cannot...it will take more time than what they mention in time line sheet.

Is Gmail going to over shadow Yahoo?

Ok... so lets start it.
As we know, mostly we all use yahoo for mailing and sending documents. The only alternative is Live mail, which in my opinion is a waste of space and time for M$.
Yahoo as we know use flash extensions for the latest mail facility, but we can use the old yahoo with less features. As of now, wireless internet is going to be every one need. But some time the wireless net is not that fast to run the flashy things and send some documents.
I was a heavy user of yahoo mail too. But in the last few months i am using Gmail for my work and personal use.
Gmail was in beta stage for a long time, but was working properly within this stage too. Gmail came out from beta stage some time ago.
Gmail is very simple mail and chat system. Its simple display make it more appropriate to use. The load time is amazingly less than yahoo. Because there is no flash inside.
But now at the recent time, Gmail provide better solutions for mailing. Its documentation attachment system is amazingly fast and secure on slow internet also. Mail features more than yahoo, for example:
- Labels (Folder levels)
- Tasks (Just added today)
- Chat window (No need for flash to load)
- Mail filtering system
- Spam filtering is strong than yahoo
- Auto save of chat

And more from that is the 'Labs', it is under settings. Labs have a lot of features that makes Gmail one of the greater mail service.
For example, one feature which i am also using is, if your internet is slow and can't load mail, so before showing your mail box, it will show that is there any new mail in inbox or not. So you can decide to go to mail or not from there. Another is after sending mail, it will give a few seconds to cancel the mail, if you mistakenly hit the send button. You can revert it back from sending stage.
There are a lot more in the Labs, now its up to you, which features you want which not.

Google also provide some inside documentation system, i will write another post later on that with some snapshots. The ability of that is to work online as you do in your PC when offline. Like using word, PowerPoint, pdf, printing etc etc.

So now, i am more to Gmail than yahoo, because of the ease and time saving things.

Linux OR Windows -- A prime time story

I am really into this war of Linux OR M$ Windows.
I am not going to impress you or to force your thinking towards Linux...Its totally your choice.
But the story i am going to tell you, is really interesting and healthy.

1st let me introduce my roommate, my roommate is a PHD student and working as a RA(Research Assistant) in AEI(Asia Europe Institute) in UM(University Malaya). As we know, most of the computers has windows OS installed by default from the vendors. The same thing is here with AEI.
The interesting thing is that no body knows, what OS,windows,Linux,softwares,installation is etc etc.
They just ON the PC and use it, there is Internet, IE(Internet Explorer), M$ Office, that's enough for them.
Now back to the story...So my roommate using windows too, and don't know much about computers. What he doing is always keep ON his PC day/night. Last week Saturday there was a light failure in some part of the university for around 8 hours. On the next day, when he went back to office and trying to ON his PC, Windows was throwing an error. That it is missing file in system32/drivers to run the windows.
He called me to examine the issue, i went to his office to see, that what's going on. I tried to repair the system, tried to run in the safe mode.... but no luck. I tried everything i can, but was waste less.
Then I told my friend, now the only way is to format the system and do a fresh installation. He told me, he has files on the desktop which are very important and don't want to loose them. Then i tried to enter to command based, to copy the files from desktop to flash drive or D drive. But every time i tried any thing, the system was not proceeding from that error further. I was a bit frustrated that time... that what a crap this windows system is.
At the mean while he prepared a coffee for me, and i was thinking what to do next. Then suddenly my mind works, a spark in my mind lighten and told him, lets go back to hostel...i need some CDs to solve your problem.
The CDs were Linux Live Cds. I used Ubuntu 9.04, as i have a lot of Live Linux distros Cds. And boot into live desktop. I tried to find his files in C drive desktop. And at the end i get it.
I copied all his files from desktop to his flash drive, and restart the PC. Format the system and install fresh windows system for him. Post installation of windows, i installed Firefox browser for him and delete IE from desktop. And he was a happy man at that moment.
Of course, he should be happy...because job was done without missing any of his files. Everything was safe and secure.
So at the end....LINUX came to rescue windows...Now you guys decide...which one.

Interesting thing, yesterday he ask me to install IE for him...Haha...i was laughing that time. Because Firefox was there.
Now just imagine, most of the end users don't know about computer, softwares, OS etc etc.
They just want to use it, Internet and IE is there, its enough.
And that's why M$ is dominating the market over others. Correct me, if i am wrong.

In last i would say...use Linux...enjoy Freedom.

Slow start for July...

Salam and Hi to all,
As usual July starts with a very slow face. So much boring days...
Just watched Jhon cena movie "12 rounds", it was an OK movie. Not that bad and not that good.
A tour with no emotions, waste of time i think. Dead feelings with dead soul...
I guess, in the world, the worst thing is to wait for something. This is what i did for the last couple of days and the result was 0. So disappointing... but no worries...life will move on.

Some thing interesting is i start the data analysis at least, throw away my laziness for work and study and back to normal once again...this is extremely a good point for me.

Wait, i think that i am loosing my tempo a bit...hey whats up Arif...whats going on dude. Just relax...hmmm....i have to. Thats a good idea.

This coming week is very important for me, so lets wait and see... what will be in the bowl for me.
A matured and confused guy will ever see these days in his life...hey wait...i am not talking some thing stupid...am i?...mmmmmmmmmm...nope i don't think so.

Ok, let me write a joke for you, but remember i am not a joker...

Update: openSUSE desktop snapshot

I update my system with some new widgets and effects.
openSUSE 11.1 KDE 4.2.4
Updates:
- 3D effects enabled.
- Weather widget is added.
- Desktop theme is changed to 'Glassified'
- Login screen theme changed to oxygen.
- System monitor widget is added.
In system monitor, i m not using wired Internet, so no connection there. Using wifi, but the widget script by default using wlan0, while right now i am using wlan2 and wlan1. so also no connection info there in system widget.
My laptop HDD is not supporting temperature info, so also no HDD temp in system monitor.
BTW system monitor widget name is oxygen, which is under Superkaramba.
Weather widget is yaWP(yet another weather plasmoid), which is also installed under Superkaramba.
Needed extra packages for CPU temp and HDD temp:
CPU temp: lm_sensors
Run this code in terminal after installing lm_sensors as root. And yes to all features there.

My current Desktop!!!

I believe on changes to my laptop... A month ago i installed Ubuntu on it. i did not face any issue there, but suddenly i changed my mind to come back to openSUSE again. I love openSUSE.
So a week ago i installed openSUSE 11.1 KDE version, and updated KDE to KDE4.2.4 with kernel 2.6.27.23-0.1. System is completely up to date now and running very smoothly with no issues. And personally i like it more than other distros.
Here is the current desktop snapshot.

This Sunday was really a day for us to celebrate, a day to remember, a day to enjoy...
Pakistan win the world cup FINAL of T20. Even Pakistan start was very slow in the tournament... but they proved it, they are the best team ever. Specially Shahid Khan Afridi, Umar GUL and Younis Khan, who plays very important role in every game.
And Afridi was the man, who really struck hard in semi-final and then final. He is the man, who did a great job to bring this cup home.
It was really a great joy for the nation, who is suffering from a lot of troubles.
I watched this this whole match and other matches on cricinfo.com. Thanks to cricinfo crew for such a nice coverage.
Congratulation to all the team and nation for such a great moment. Last time Pakistan won ICC world cup was in 1992, and captain was Imran Khan and this time was Younis Khan. We are proud of you Khans. Great captains in Pakistan history so far. Salute to both of you. we need this joy, and you deliver it on time, thanks to you(Younis khan) and also to other team mates.

Two Lovers and my Friday

Hi and Salam to all,
Some updates from my Swat valley:
Every thing is ok there now... not all.. but ok.
My family is safe and my grandfather and uncle in village are also safe and secure there.
Alhamdullillah...

This Friday was also a holiday for us. Haha, we make Friday as official holiday now...
Just from our(we guys) side, not from company side.
My day start as usual, nothing special. Perform prayer in Islamic faculty masjid.
I downloaded a movie some time ago named "Two Lovers". Just got some free time to watch it yesterday.
I didn't give any importance to this movie, because i was thinking it will be a normal movie like others. But NO, it was a movie with superb plot and direction. Actors did pretty well justice with their roles. Specially Joaquin Phoenix, actor in the movie. He was simply amazing in his role.
Story line was touching, script was strong enough to brought your attention towards the story.
In simple words, a brilliant movie with simple love story.
8/10 overall for this movie.

After that i went to UM hospital to see one of my friend there, He was sick. And he was there for 1 week. Just checked out that time, when i reached there. He is living in the same Hostel with me. He is NOW ok, Inshallah Allah will give you more patience to overcome all this. Will pray for your health.

After that, i settle down some things here and there, not much things to do.

And yeh, i installed Ubuntu after i think one and half year. Just to see, how it works now for my laptop. Because i face issue with my graphic card in openSUSE and Mandriva. So i give Ubuntu a try, and till now its working properly. No Intel card issues here. Its Ubuntu 9.04 with gnome desktop with kernel 2.6.28-11-generic.

Hi all...
Just back from dinner from k11 and then went to k12 Block D with my roomate to use ATM.
On the way back went to cafe, OMG it was full. Alot of PASUM students. Just take some drinks from the shop and that's all. Tomorrow i am not going to office... because other guys are going to penang and i will be alone and no internet too. So nothing to do there, better to stay in room and hostel.

1st of all i want to discuss something about the FACTS.

COVER STORY:
On Saturday night around 9.30PM, i was in K11 for dinner. Cafe TV was on that time and Al-jazeera channel was broadcasting news bulletin.
1st time i saw news about SWAT in international media after the operation started on May 3rd 2009.
They shows some of the places occupied by army now. They cleaned Talibans from that places. Was a good news. The TV reporter also ask some two three questions from an arrested Talib under army now.
According to that Talib:
"I came from Afghanistan, and they give me 20K per month and told me to fight against army and security forces."
Now the question is WHO are supporting these people. I already told people there, when i was in SWAT for my vacations in Feb 2009. "That i am sure, alot of foreign fighters are involved in these Talibans also, like Uzbek, Tajik, Afghanis etc etc". And now its true, that they came here(swat) to destroy peace in SWAT. All you go to HELL, JUST GO TO YOUR COUNTRY AND DO ALL THESE THINGS THERE NOT HERE.
I was also surprised, that how a person can sell himself for 20K, and he knows, that one day army bullet will finish him up. Can't imagine, JUST for 20K. You are buying your death for 20K. So cheap.

My brother already joined my family in Peshawar. They rented a house there now. My other two uncles are also with them now. Other two uncles families are in Mardan now.
My grandfather and one uncle still in village. I don't know, why they are still there. My brother told me, that army ordered to leave the village. But still my grandfather and uncle there. For WHAT?... Still i have to know about this. I am waiting for latest updates from my brother to know about my grandfather and uncle, either they joined them or not.

Another good and updated news is, that army cleared our village and also neighboring village. This is just recent news. I am worried about my grandfather and uncle now. Hope, they are fine there.

Good evening all...
Yesterday i talk to my dad and sister and mom. They already shifted from swat now. They are in Peshawar now with my dad friend. All my family is there now.
Last night i call them to know the latest situation. My sister told me alot of things, In 21 minutes conversation, i did not talk, just listen to her. She was not stoppable. She told me everything.
So the latest situation is not that good. I think, this time army want to clean up this mess. Mess here mean Taliban. For me they are mess. They are stupid. They don't know, what they are doing.
Because of them, 3 million people leave their homes, still 0.5 million are there. They can't move, they can't go out side from their homes in swat. Because its Curfew there. Its 15th day of Curfew now. And no Light,Gas,Water,Fresh Food. Army is supplying foods for people there. And in curfew you can't go out side. If you want to try, then pray for yourself, to back to home alive.
My sister told me a story from my Grandfather village. That a person went out side in Curfew and army killed him brutally. I know that person, his name was 'Jabbar'. This is a long story, that how my family shift to Peshawar. I am felling so down for them. They used Buner route to arrive Peshawar. She told me, that one day, army helicopter fired a short range missile on a bungalow. The helicopter was that time on our village. She says further, that while firing it, there was like earth quick there. All the kids ran to their houses and searching for place to hide. Helicopter shilling is very common there, but short range missile was 1st time fired near our village.
According to her, i think around 20 people died in it and around 20 wounded badly. All were that mess. So it was a good news. Personally i don't support Taliban. They use the wrong way to fight. Actually secret agencies are using them, but these stupid people don't understand. Secret agencies from USA, Russia, India, Israel. ISI create them... All are involved in this game.
For GOD sake Taliban, use your brain. Allah give it to use it, you stupid people. I am using stupid word because I am so angry on them. Because of them, alot of innocent people died.
I watched that videos, in which they shows the slaughtering of people, who are against them. My heart is not that strong, so i didn't watched it completely. That's why these people are stupid. They are used for the NAME OF ISLAM. You stupid people, why you don't understand. Its not ISLAM. ISLAM is about peace, not about killing own people.
I hope that this time army will clean up this mess and we will get rid of them. All just go to hell, you people deserve hell.
All my village is near to empty. My brother is still there. He will join my family lately. Just waiting for the situation, if it goes more worse, then he will leave. If going to normal then he will stay.

Swat was a peaceful district all over the country before. It was famous for its peace and the people. And more than that was for, people hospitality. Alot of visitors came here before in summer to enjoy the weather. Weather in swat is very pleasant in summer season too. Winter is too cold. Spring is awesome and autumn is really enjoyable. It was knows as 'Switzerland of Pakistan' and now i think will be known as 'Hell of Pakistan'.

Weekend and New Life ... with Burning Flames

Evening all,
Just back from office and its 7.00PM right now to write something here and update this blog and share my weekend with you all.
Actually my weekend started from Friday, i was on holiday. The day was not that boring. Most of the time, just sleeping. The next day(sat) i meet one of my client to discuss the project progress. After that, meet another friend and we took dinner together. On Sunday i gave my all time to work on questionnaire, and finished it late night and send it to supervisor. The easy three days with no fun and outing. Just me in my room.
Actually i don't have any activities, in normal days Office, room and me and in holidays room and me...Haha... a very simple life...
I tried yesterday to contact my family, but there is no communication now. NO communication, NO Light, No Gas, No Water, No Fresh Food... I don't know, how they spent their days, what they eat. I am really worried about them. Some time i want to cry for them, i am here in peace and they are suffering... what type of justice is this.....
I am praying for them, i miss them badly.

Today was day for PASUM students, i mean new chicks for matriculation. The hostel was full at morning time, when i was on my way to office, i hardly find the way to get out from the crowd.
While on the way back from office, there was no crowd and every thing went back to normal.

My GF... which i love so much!!!

Some one give this name to my laptop b4. That my laptop is my GF. Haha, it was true.
My laptop is really GF, i cant go far from her for a long time, if that is the case, then i miss her so much. Like i miss her in my last trip. She always make me happy. I tried every thing on her, evyer OS... But she didn't say any thing. You can imagine now, how much loving and caring she is.
Now she has Mandriva 2009.1 and Windows XP SP3(Rarely using it) installed.
I also take care of her, upgrading her time by time. Love my GF(laptop).

The picture is quite old one, New one i lost some where in other pictures. Because i have vast collection of pictures.

In this picture she is with her mother....hahaha, which is no more now. I give it to my Uncle to take care of her.

So what you think about her... I know, she is a bit old now. But the good thing is, she is very sincere with me.

Day Dreaming... (Trip Story)

Hi and Salam to all,
Last night at around 11.30PM I was again in my room in KL. Which i didn't miss, of course.
So let me start from 7.00AM 13-05-2009. I wait for Company CEO at University gate. At 7.15AM he was there, then we make our way to TTDI, because other guys were waiting there. Pick them up and went to perdana to pick up the stuffs from the new office.
At around 8AM, we make our move to the destination. Our 1st stop was at Rawang(R&R = Kawasan Rehat and Rawat) for breakfast. Just a simple breakfast, Nasi(Rice) Lemak with tea. It takes us around 15 minutes.
Our CEO was driving and normally he drives at 120 to 140. Wow, so fast. We reached kedah around 12.10PM. There was a relative of our CEO some where in army cantt in kedah. So we visited him 1st and have our LUNCH with him. He is running a canteen in army cantt. Food was amazingly NICE and delicious. I didn't eat more and well, because i was mentally prepared for the normal KL food. But never mind, i didn't repeat the same mistake on next day lunch.
After lunch we start our journey to sungai petani, its in kedah. All the way to pantai merdeka i enjoyed the kampung(Village) life style. It was nice and simple houses and few, with a masjid for the people. We reached pantai merdeka at 2.15PM, 2 guys left there to install the security lock system. Me and CEO left for penang to meet next client. 3.15PM we reached client office. Discuss all the issues with them and back to pantai merdeka to pick up the guys. It was quite late, took our dinner while on the way to perlis, some where in Alor star. We stayed in Arau, a kampung named 'kampung(village) siyam'. It was around 11PM when we reached guest house, it was a home style guest house with all facilities. But was in village. We wake up around 7.30AM. I went outside to see the surrounding area. WOW, i was amazed. Really it was so beautiful. All were rice fields. Like my home town scenery. I really missed my village. It was very nice morning with clouds and a bit cold too. One thing i noted was, All that kampung were a bit cold with clean atmosphere and clean air than KL. Of course, it should be, because KL is a big city.
We took our breakfast on the way some where in kampung siyam. Now our next move was to Bukit tanggah MARDI Farm Station. There we had to install the new two sensors. That was very nice place, all were fruit trees.They told us, they produce ten type of different fruits there.
Most common and popular are:
- Mango, - Rambutan, - Durian etc etc.
Job was finished around 12.30PM, mean replacing the sensors. Thailand border is very near to this farm station and i also saw the border between Malaysia and Thailand. We came back to office after replacing the sensors. Now was time to configure the server. We took our lunch in farm canteen. As i mentioned above, this time i didn't did any mistake. Was prepared for the food. And this time the food was more delicious from the 1st one. I really enjoyed this food. Now i know, that really village food are very good every where. After lunch, i tried to setup the server and make sure that the server works. But the problem was with SMS receiving. Later i found, that the number used by the server GSM modem was blocked. So that number, we can say, not working any more. We have to activate it again. We left the farm station at around 5.30PM with out completing the system. Because the server is in KL, so have to configure it in KL. That was our trip END...
While on the way back we took our dinner some where in R&R at 8.00PM.
And the story ends at 11.30PM last night.
I didn't take any pictures, because i don't have any camera now. I give it to my brother. And none of them brought their own. So no pictures for this tour. Sad news for me.

Final Words about the trip: I really enjoyed the tour, like the life style of the people in the villages there, they were simple and nice. Food was really good from KL hotels. I am impressed from the food taste. They were loving people.
This morning when i waked up, i really miss them and the places we visit.

But one thing, i missed my Girlfriend in these two days. HAHA, shocked about GF. Don't worry i will post her picture soon here. She is very carrying and nice. Always give me nice feelings.

May be you people watch and read NEWS. Now a days SWAT is focus of the news. I am from that district too. I am so worried about my family and the people there. I don't want any sympathy or AID. Just need prayers. Pray for of all us. We want peace every where.

Tiring Day it was!!! Miss you TTDI...

So today was the last day in old office, and at 10AM, we say Bye Bye to our lovely TTDI office and left for our new office. Also we carry alot of stuffs and till 2PM, arranging the stuffs and then went back to TTDI for our lunch, haha... Again TTDI for lunch, because we miss it.
At 2.45PM, we were in the office, were very tired. And my heart keep bugging me, don't do any thing... no work. I left the office at 6.00PM, while the other guys were still there, because we are going to Penang and Kedah tomorrow to finalize three projects. So they stay there to arrange the stuffs for tomorrow projects there.
We will stay there for 2 days and one night and finish all the project work in this time frame(2 days).
Projects:
1- MARDI
2- LKIM
3- CSL

I am looking forward to it, because i am bored and its a good chance to relax and get some new feelings. I will write the complete trip details, when back to KL.

Workshop and Writing Skills

Morning All.
After a long time i was refreshed yesterday by attending a workshop. It was like that i am sitting in a class and discussing some topic with my friends. I miss my course work classes.
Workshop theme was "Writing Skills", and it was arranged for students who are currently doing their thesis. Speaker was our faculty Dean Dr. Sapiyan baba.
Workshop was divided into different sessions. All were interesting and specially the last session, when we were discussing among the group about the problem statement and writing then an abstract.
From 12.30PM to 2.45PM was lunch and prayer break. So i with my friends perform jummat prayer in Islamic faculty masjid.
We stayed in faculty until 8.30PM, after that we went to Kolej 11 for our dinner. It was a bit tiring day and was a nice and refreshing experience after a long time.
Another word for 'Thesis' we know was 'Argument'. It was quite interesting while the speaker was explaining it, that how we argue with each other on some topic.
That's all for now.

Tensions & ME

Its a sad morning 2day. I am still sitting in my old office with just my PC left here.
Yesterday was 5th May, and was ifti last exam paper. I don't know, i feel. I am not strong any more.
All the day i feel, that i lost some thing precious, and its not possible to get that thing back, was just feelings. And yeh its true.
But 2day again, the same feelings. Also moving from TTDI give me alot of tension, now this one too.
Yesterday meet another friend asking me to help him in his project, that is another headache now.
What to do....what to do... i m lost here....!!!
So many things to handle NOW... and i have no clue how to overcome all these. How to be more strong?
A question with no answer for me.
Also thinking of quiting this JOB, that is another tension..... i can't count it now-a-days.
That how many tensions i have to go through. Also no increment in salary...no nothing!!!
Life is so cruel now... pushing me towards more and more into puddle.

Life is changing FAST!!!

Just watched movie "The curious case of Benjamin Button", nice movie. Superb acting and direction, deserve really Oscar awards, as already it won 3 Oscar awards.
Post is not about the movie, i was just bored and really some time we need to divert our thinkings, that's what i did.
Life is really changing very fast, 2day i experienced all that.
Our office is moving to new place, some where in Damansara Perdana from TTDI. We visit the new place, and its quite far from my residence too. Personally i did not impressed from the new location of the office, i like TTDI more than D-Perdana.
This all suddenly happened 2day, i mean moving of office location.I planned every thing for 2day to meet some one. but all went in vain. Because when we came back from the site, it was already 6.10PM and was quite late already. Tomorrow we are going to shift form the old office and it mean, that no more TTDI, AHHH... and no more chance of meeting. Other than that, freelance projects, workshop, office, research and many more.........
So many things to do, anyhow it doesn't matter how many, need a proper planning.
So let me plan it, and hope every thing will go well. Inshallah.

I have to spare some time for TTDI some day in this week. Its urgent. Inshallah i will.

Was not that good OR bad day...becuase was Sunday

So it was Sunday 2day. A day with nothing much for me as usual.
The simple plan started after i wake up at 11.00AM, and start work on the gutenprint project (Linux printing set for CUPS). And successfully modified it for newly installed printer. Then a short break and a very simple lunch. My roommate was willing to visit Mid Valley just to move around. Went to Mid Valley at 6.00PM by cab. OHHH... cab charge us around 10 Ringit, even normally it is not more than 5 ringit. So all, be careful of these type of cabs. Yeh, its not about that i will become poor of that RM 5, and that cab driver will be rich. But its about principles. AM i right?
I write down that cab number, may be will report him later to the authorities.

Mid valley plan was not that good, my friend enjoyed bowling and then video games, i just company him. Took a simple breakfast there in KFC with Zinger burger and pepsi. At around 8.00PM we were on the way back to hostel.
Took our dinner in kolej 11 just now, was not that much impressive dinner... for me just a drink.
Now-a-days are exams in UM, cafe was almost empty. and i think from next week will be more empty, because exams will finish and most of the student will go back to thier homes. But never mind, i like loneliness and empty places now. So i hope, i will enjoy it...haha
Tomorrow office... so i feel good. i like to be engaged with some work, and office is better place for it.

May 1st : After 1 year

Salam and Hi to all readers,
Yesterday was 1st May, as known for labor day, and holiday all over the world to celebrate and show sympathy with those, who were murdered on this day fighting for their rights.
As it was holiday, and was Friday. Wake up a bit late and do some other stuffs and then prayer.
Prayer, after 1 year i went to Islamic faculty masjid because of job. There was no time to go this masjid in this whole year. But yesterday was the time to remember some thing, some old golden days. Yeh, its true... the things were not the same as it was 1 year b4. This time, very silent and cool, but weather was very hot,haha...
Anyway, this is life, changes are part of it.
Next Friday i have workshop in my faculty, so will stick around in UM the whole day.
After noon at around 5.30PM, went to Low yat with friend to buy some digital stuffs like flash drive, printer.
While on the way back, we took our dinner at 'UK Asia' restaurant in bukit bintang. Food was very nice and tasty.
Installing printer on Linux was a bit tricky, but at least i accomplish this task successfully to install it. I will write complete procedure as a "Howto" for it in my programming blog, when got some free time.
End of the day...

And yeh, I am in process of selecting a name for my new domain (mean new website).
I would like to hear from the readers, any name they have in mind, but 'soft' word will be included in it.
Like: softworks.com, maxsoft.com, xtremesoft.com
All the above names already taken, so i am searching for some appropriate word to buy new domain.
Hope to hear form you all with some decent domain names. I would appreciate any input.

Its not that difficult task, i write some tutorials for it.
1st i will elaborate, how to install flash plugins...
There are many ways to install it, but i tried the simplest one and it worked for me with out any hazel. I had posted it in my programming and Linux blog.

He Likes Me -- Doesn't He?

Yahoo, again came up with very interesting thing this time. Let me share with you guys:

1-He actively takes an interest in you and what you have to say:
He's not just nodding and smiling and checking his watch every five minutes like you're trying to sell him life insurance. There's eye contact. He's actively listening. He's asking questions, relating things you say to his own experiences. If he's really good, he'll remember something you said and incorporate it in a future date. Try not to act too surprised.

2- He's forthcoming:
He wants you to know about him. This manifests itself in a bunch of ways. He'll share personal details about himself. He'll even be eager to cough up basic factoids such as phone numbers, his address and place of work. If he isn't giving up this kind of info, then he doesn't want you tracking him down -- or he's Batman or Superman. So if he doesn't live at Wayne Manor or the Fortress of Solitude, give it up.

3- He'll mark his territory:
He won't pee on you or anything per se, but he will exhibit some animal behavior. If he's decided he wants you as his female, he won't want to lose you. If there's any chance that you might be snapped up by another male, he'll stake his claim. He'll be tactile with you, slipping an arm around you, possibly posturing and standing up when another guy walks onto the scene. Watch out for some regression to a more primitive man. 4- He calls you back:

If you're getting calls for no reason, that's a good thing. However, you may want to invest in a good phone plan.

5- He'll check you out:
You'll bring out his spy skills in a good way. He'll talk to your friends to get the 411 on you. He wants to know more about you -- your past, your present, your likes and dislikes, water hazards, etc. He's doing his homework because he wants to impress you. 6- He's flirtatious:

7- He's always planning ahead:
If he digs you, he won't want you getting away from him. To make sure you aren't prey to some other guy, he'll be making plans for the next date before the current one is over. A full calendar is a good sign.

8- He's attentive:
He's been listening to you, and knows what you like and where you like to go. He treats you to your favorite things and places. He'll spring surprises.

9- He'll blow off his buddies to be with you:
It's always tricky managing existing commitments with burgeoning relationships. There are bound to be conflicts of interest at the some point. So take it as a good sign when he'll ditch going out with the boys to see you instead.

10- Acts of selflessness:

Salam and hi to all...
When i was in school, there was a story in one of our subject, the heading of the story was "Human will never be HAPPY in any condition". Then the author narrate a story, that how he came across many people in his life. The idea was simple but was very powerful. The same thing is with us now-a-days.
If we have every thing, but still we need more. It can be in terms of any thing... money, love, lust, car, status, house, reputation, dignity... etc etc
There is a poem in Urdu, a line from it:
"Maloom hai khush rehke bhi faryad karoge", meaning is:
"I know, if you are happy also, you will beg for more...".
We blame others, like take politicians. we blame them, that they are greedy, what we all think is true, no doubt in it. They are always seeking for more and more...
But now take your self, you are not one of them. Of course we are. If i have a good job, then i will look a better one, with more salary. If i have car, i will wish for a good and big car. This is what we human are. Always looking for better. But will never say Alhamdullilah, that Allah give that, what we deserve. I know, no body in this world is perfect. But we can help each other by pointing the right direction. But, why we will do that... we are jealous of each other, is that the factor and reason for it. To some extent it is the factor. Just think for a while, and then answer yourself. Allah likes people, who are simple and simplicity is the way of his/her life. Jealousy is one of the bad factor in human, which eat him/her inside.

So please, stop looking for perfect and better... Say Alhamdullilah on every thing you have NOW, and let every thing to Allah, HE will do better for us.

One more thing, there is a saying:
"Prayer is where an amazing exchange happens... 'You hand over your worries to Allah and HE hands over HIS Peace and Blessings to you'".

These are some dates in my life, which i will never forget. 23 Aug 2007 was the date, which changed my life, i was never like that. Thanks to this date, now i know the importance of every relationship and real life.

UPM Project...

We just back from UPM(University Putra Malaysia) after attending a meeting there.
Actually our company proposed a real time monitoring system to their Engineering faculty.
The project leads to Landslide Early Warning System.
Some short description of the project:
It will consist of some sensors, which are:
- Soil Moisture
- Rain Gauge
- Inclinometer
- SE
- Pizometer

These sensors will be used to monitor the landslide activity. The data will be sent to gateway and after that will be received by a database file to store it in database. It will be raw data.
Website will be created for displaying the current data converted from raw data.
Website features:
- Reporting Module
- Charting
- Real time Data
- SMS alert system (Edit: 03-04-2009 at 4.00PM)

I remember about UM(University Malaya) Islamic faculty landslide, so i am not sure, is there any early warning system for it or not. But its a very healthy project, could save alot of time and cost and lifes too.

Alhamdullillah...

Today is 1st April, and as famous for April fool, Rite?
But some time it brings some joys for us, by not fooling some one. But giving some one a real happiness in life. The same thing happened to me last night after 12 midnight.
Actually my grandmother was ill from last 2 weeks, she suffered from heart attacks twice in this period. Yesterday she went through by operation of heart, and was successful.
My dad call me at 1.00AM last night to give this good news, i was really so much excited to talk to her. I called them back and talk with my grandma, she is fine now. Just to say a big and million and million thanks to ALLAH. WHO is always with us, when we remember HIM, and need HIM in any situation.
ALHAMDULLILLAH

May be people make people fool today, but my case is different, for me its not April fool. It give me strength and joy. Shukar hai Allah ka...

And yah yesterday i was reading urdupoint.com, i read a quote there. forgot the person name.
was:
"Patience is the name of sadness, which is named as Merit".

And its true, exactly no doubt in this.

There was another hadith by Muhammad(saw) PBUH, saying:
"Every religion has a unique difference from others, ISLAM difference form other is 'HAYA'".
HAYA is called Aurat,Modesty.
Its because of: ISLAM is complete way of life.

2- Refutation of Disadvantages
These seeming disadvantages may appear to outweigh the disadvantages, however, the burdened spouse is well compensated by the relief from the solitude and boredom of bachelorhood through the company of the other party and the children they both rear. Hardships they may suffer are worthy sacrifices in the interest of society. If everyone should run away from the responsibilities of marriage, mankind would degenerate, decline and ultimately disappear.
Engagement of the mind in the affairs of the household is not alien to the domain of divine worship. After all, the mind needs diversion and cannot easily be occupied in one type of work all the time.
The possibility of resorting to corrupt means to provide for domestic financial needs only arises with unscrupulous persons, married or otherwise; and marriage or need alone does not lead to corruption with conscientious, honest people. Married couples, however, should use their wisdom and manage their affairs within their means. They should not stretch their expenses beyond the income which they legitimately earn.
The possibility of failure in marriage is not a good cause for delay or reluctance. After all, there is a risk in every course of action in life, be it business, study, a journey or any other venture. If uncertainty of success were to debar us from venturing the risk, life would surely become paralyzed. It is only in courage and challenge that individuals and nations can aspire to glory. Moreover, if due care is exercised in picking one's spouse, the possibility of failure becomes rather remote.

5- Social Importance
Finally, by adding responsibilities upon the individual, marriage enhances his status in society and gives him an opportunity for training in bearing the hardships of life. Living with a spouse, a person of different inclinations and background, trains one in accommodating oneself to new experiences; each party helps the other in the exercise of the virtues of patience and forbearance. The responsibility of rearing children and the need to earn for their living are added meritorious aspect arising from marriage. Listen to the Prophet when he says:

A man will be rewarded for what he spends on his wife, even for putting a morsel of food into her mouth.

Whoever performs his prayers correctly, and spends on his children in spite of his modest means, and does not speak ill against others, will be in Paradise as close to me as these [two fingers of mine].

Whosoever is given three daughters and spends on them and treats them well . . . surely God will reward him in Paradise.

DISADVANTAGES
There is no rose without thorns, and marriage is no exception. There is no relationship that modifies the mode of life of the individual or curtails the individual's freedom of action so suddenly or so profoundly as does marriage. Whether husband or wife, each has to take into account the reaction of the other party to whatever he or she may do.

1- Burdens and Risks
Upon marrying, the husband immediately carries the burden of the responsibility of his wife's welfare; and each birth brings forth more burdens. Sickness and other crises which may occur to his wife or to any of his children will be his own problems, and many of the things he would be able to enjoy by himself may fall outside his reach because of his domestic burden. And thus marriage brings him both hardships and deprivations.

The wife also, in addition to her husband's demands, becomes exposed to the burden of pregnancy, the pangs of birth, child care and the heavy task of nursing her husband and children when they are sick. She has to do the shopping, prepare the daily meals, and wash and clean. She has also to pay regard to her husband's wishes and attitude. And so marriage for her is hard work and curtailment of her freedom.

Another disadvantage is the risk that marriage may prove to be a failure. If it is completely broken, then that is disastrous; and if it is maintained in spite of continuous troubles, life becomes hell. It is also likely in such a case of mutual tension that the parties behave unjustly to each other; and this will pile up sins for which they will deserve punishment on the Day of Judgment.

Moreover, the husband, in his search to satisfy the insatiable desires of an overambitious wife, or the needs of his children, may resort to corrupt or dishonest means, which would bring ruin to himself in this world and severe punishment in the life to come. The Quran remarks in this respect:

O you who believe, surely of your wives and your children there are enemies to you. So therefore beware of them. [Quran 64:14]

Even if things proceed smoothly and comfortably in the household, the company of the wife and her attractions may excessively occupy the time and thought of her husband; and she may become too often engaged in amorous activities with him. It is said, "Wisdom is lost between the thighs of women."

3- A Healthy Relaxation
In marriage there is comfort to the soul, there is beauty to look at, there is company, and there is play and joking and relaxation, all of which relieve the heart from its burdens and make the mind better able to concentrate during prayers and worship. To be always serious and deprive the soul of its joy is boring to the heart and could blind it. Relaxing through the company of the spouse is healthy; and that is why the Qur'an describes the spouse as a source of mutual comfort. It is said that it is wise to divide one's time over three types of activities: worshiping the Lord, self-examination and entertainment of the heart. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say, "Two worldly things are beloved to me - women and perfume. But the light of my eye is in prayers." It is related that Al-Asma'i, an ancient Arab philologist, once encountered a beautiful Bedouin woman in the desert wearing a red dress and holding worry beads in her beautifully henna-dyed hand. Al-Asma'i remarked, "What a contrast!" meaning that the worry beads, a sign of deep religious devotion, and the henna dye in the hands, a popular cosmetic practice, did not go together. The beautiful righteous woman retorted poetically, "There is in me a devotion to God which I cannot neglect; but there must also be room for my heart and for my pleasure."

4- A Comfortable Home
Marriage, moreover, provides co-operation in the household and greatly relieves one from worries. Spouses cooperage in the management of the house, in its upkeep, in cooking and washing, and so forth. And thus there will be more time for worship and seeking knowledge, and a climate conducive to concentration. It is therefore said that a righteous wife is not a worldly asset only; she is a sure way to success on the Day of Judgment. The Prophet, peace be upon him, says:

Seek to have a grateful heart, a sweet tongue and a believing, righteous wife who would help you in your endeavor to success on the Last Day.

If God loves a man, He give him a righteous wife. If he looks at her, she pleases him; when he is with her, she is marvelous company; and when he is away, she observes conscientiously his rights, protecting his property and preserving her honour.

2-Fulfilment of the Natural Urge
The sexual urge is perhaps the most powerful human inclination. It seems not to be an end in itself, but a means to bring the mates together for the purpose of fertilization. Yet its fulfilment is the most enjoyable and absorbing of human experiences. Failure to fulfil this urge is likely to lead either to deviation or to maladjustment. Deviation is dishonourable and is strictly forbidden in Islam. Therefore, the Prophet, peace be upon him, calls upon youth, saying:

O you young people! Whoever of you can afford to get married, let him do so. Those who cannot afford it, let them practice fasting, as it may be a protection to them [against sin].

It is believed that the intense pleasure of the climax of the sexual act, though short-lived, has the value of reminding the believers of the more durable and more perfect enjoyment that awaits them in Paradise. The experience should enhance their zeal to comply with divine teachings.

So the practice of marriage is the way to remove evil and protect against shameful failure. To try to suppress the sexual urge by other means, such as fasting, may succeed in preventing the eyes from looking at forbidden scenes and keeping the sexual organs away from committing heinous abominations; but there is no way of freeing the heart from engaging in meanest thoughts, pondering and dreaming of acts it craves for, even during the hallowed time of the performance of prayers. A person of any degree of respectability would never dare to speak openly of such mean thoughts to any creature, but he has no control over his mind to prevent if from roaming into these thoughts when he is addressing his Creator in prayers! Some cannot afford to do without women. Some also say that two-thirds of man's wisdom is lost when his male organ becomes erect. Al-Junaid, one of the major founders of the Sufi movement, used to say, "The sexual act is as important to me as food." And thus a wife is food for the man and a measure for purifying his heat. Therefore the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded that whenever a man sees a woman and feels attracted to her, he should go and release his urge with his own wife in order to remove the evil thoughts from his mind. The Prophet sometimes added, "His wife surely can offer as much as this woman does." He also forbade visiting women when husbands are away. It is related that Ibn 'Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet, once noticed a youth staying behind after a lecture he had given, when the other members of the audience had gone. When Ibn 'Abbas asked him about his problem, the reluctant youth complained that when he was overwhelmed by sexual excitement, he released himself by performing masturbation. Ibn 'Abbas was horrified and condemned the act, but said that the practice was less abominable than fornication.

It was because of fear of the danger which might arise from an unfulfilled sexual urge that the early Muslims did not hesitate to rush to new marriage once they became widowed. Imam 'Ali, cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet, remarried on the seventh day of the death of his wife Fatimah.

Marriage in Islam. Is it Desirable? Part-II

ADVANTAGES:
1-Procreation:
This is the paramount advantage of marriage; namely, to contribute through legitimate means to the continuity and preservation of the human race. The sexual urge serves the function of bringing the mates together for the fulfilment of this basic objective.

The procreational objective has four aspects: to fulfil the will of God; to seek the love of the Prophet Muhammad; to benefit from the prayer of the child; and to profit from its intercession on behalf of its parents.

Almighty God, in providing the male with intricate fertilizing organs and the female with a receptive fertile womb, is telling us in the most eloquent but voiceless language of the purpose of these provisions. To let them be idle is to ignore the divine wisdom written on these God-given instruments. Imagine a farmer who, although he is given a piece of fertile land, seeds and farming tools, just lets the land go to waste, the seeds rot and tools rust. This farmer not only is a fool, but is to be condemned for his wasteful and harmful indifference.

Procreation through marriage is also a means of seeking the pleasure of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, who is believed to be alive in his grave and to whom the deeds of the members of his nation are regularly presented. He has called upon his nation: "Marry, so your number increases. The practice of marriage is an answer to his call.

Prayer of a child is believed to be beneficial to his dead parent. The Prophet, peace be upon him says:

When the son of Adam dies, nothing would be of any more benefit to him except three things: a continuous charity, some useful knowledge he has left behind and a child who may pray for him.

Should the child die early and the parents accept its loss as an act of God, without despair, it would be like a ticket to Paradise for them. The Prophet, prayers and peace be upon him, is related to have said:

A child [who dies before reaching puberty] leads the parents to Paradise.

A child will be brought [on the Day of Judgment] and told, "Get into Paradise." But he will stand reluctantly and angrily at its gate and say, "I am not going to enter Paradise without my parents." It will then be said, "let his parents enter Paradise with him."

It is related that an unmarried man of good conduct who lived in the early past shouted when he was rising from sleep one morning. "Help me to get married! Help me to get married. Maybe God will give me a child who will be useful to me on the Day of Judgement." He was asked, "What has happened?" He said, "I dreamt that the Day of Judgement had come, and all mankind was raised and brought together in one place with the burning sun close over their heads. Everyone became very thirsty and I was dying of thirst. Suddenly, children appeared among us, lively and handsome, covered with protective light and carrying silver ewers and golden goblets. They offered drinks to some but left out most. When I stretched my hand to one of them and said, 'Give me to drink, I am exhausted because of thirst,' he said, 'You have no child among us.' I asked, Who are you? He said, 'We are Muslim children; our parents lost us when we were young!"

Marriage in Islam. Is it Desirable? Part-I

Today i am going to start a new topic, its lengthy, but i will divide it into parts to make it readable.
Article is taken from Canada Muslim Website. (Reference).

So lets jump to the article:
Marriage in Islam is strongly recommended on religious, moral, social, psychological and physiological grounds.

SCRIPTURE AND TRADITION:
The Qur'an, which Muslims believe to be the word of God, reads:

And marry those among you who are single . . . If they are needy, God will make them free from want out of His grace. [Qur'an 24:32]

And He it is Who has created man from water; then He has made for him blood relationship and marriage relationship. And thy Lord is ever Powerful. [Qur'an 25:54]

One of His signs is this: that He has created mates for you from yourselves that you might find quiet of mind in them, and He put between you love and compassion. Surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect. [Qur'an 30:21]

In the context of praising the prophet preceding the Prophet Muhammad, the Qur'an reads:
And surely We sent Messengers before thee and appointed for them wives and children. [Qur'an 33:38]

And in praising the habits of good believers, it reads:

And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes . . ." [Qur'an 25:74]

There are also many Traditions ascribed to the Prophet Muhammad in which the practice of marriage is emphatically praised. The following are some of these Traditions:

1-Marriage is my recommended custom. Whosoever turns away from my recommended custom is turning away from me.
2-Get married so you multiply. I shall indeed be proud of your multitude on the Day of Resurrection.
3-Get married, and do not divorce; indeed, divorce causes the Throne [of God] to shake!
4-O you young people, men and women! Whosoever can bear the burden of marriage, let him or her get married. It [marriage] is indeed contentment to the eye and a protection to the modest parts.
5-When one is married, he secures half of his religion. So let him fear God in the other half.
